San Fransisco based start-up Angee Inc. have made their own portable and autonomous home security system. The company, Co – founded by the current CEO Tomas Turek, aims to make home security smarter and more affordable. This product will be the first truly autonomous home security system on the market.

Angee Inc. took to Kickstarter on 15th September 2015 and already has over $140,000 of their $250,000 goal. The company says that the money will go towards tooling and fixtures for serial production as well as regulatory certification and the pilot production. When the Kickstarter funding is successful they will take the final version of the prototype and fine-tune it to pre-production shape

These systems will understand and predict what we need, saving us time and energy, and making our lives easier. Angee is a step toward this future.”

‘Angee’ gives the user a full 360 – degree view of wherever it’s placed and streams a live feed over Wi-Fi. If Wi-Fi goes offline Angee will notify the user and continue to record any activity at home. The footage is then saved to its local storage.

The device also has voice recognition, at-the-door identification, motion detecting rotation and runs on a rechargeable battery lasting up to 8 hours. The companion app is compatible with Apple iOS, Android and Pebble iOS but isn’t available on any of the app stores yet. Angee tells the user what’s happening in their home via the mobile app. The user also receives instant notifications if something out of the ordinary happens, and they can also use the app to connect with Angee remotely to see what it sees.

The estimated delivery date for Angee is October 2016 and Angee Inc. is partnering with Dragon Innovations, a hardware startup consultant, for technical diligence and serial production. For more information about Angee and Angee Inc. you can go to their website.
