Spanish sunglasses manufacturer Hawkers Co. needs just less than €20,000 in order to meet their €100,000 target on Kickstarter.
The Kickstarter project was launched on 19th August 2015 and has over 6,000 backers with 27 days to go. The project will only be funded if it meets its target of €100,000.
The company aims to “disrupt the market and put an end to the monopoly by creating the most awesome quality sunglasses at a fair price”.
Premium sunglasses brand Ray-Ban start selling from €130 compared to Hawkers’ modest starting price of €20.
Backers of the project can be rewarded with their own pair of Hawkers sunglasses as a thanks for backing the project.
If anyone is generous enough to pledge €1,000 Euros or more they would be rewarded with the complete 2015 collection and the naming of a 2016 model. So far only one person has pledged this amount.
Although Hawkers Co. sunglasses can be bought directly from their website this project gives backers the opportunity to get the same sunglasses for less while supporting the brands cause.
Hawkers sunglasses come in a variety of colours and styles and are officially sponsored by the LA Lakers.
