Five reasons you SHOULD buy an Apple Watch

Apple-Watch

The latest Apple Event showcased the much-anticipated Apple Watch and despite the negativity towards it on Social Media, I’d like to give you five reasons why you should buy one.

1. It’s a great way to stay connected

Reaching in your pocket to check your phone every minute to see if you have any notification can become a thing of the past. Texts, calls and emails can all be looked at and responded to on the watch potentially saving you time with just a glance. The ability to pay for things, open your hotel door and show your boarding pass are all things you can do with your iPhone but can now do with just a flick of the wrist *insert appropriate song here*.

2. We’ve come a long way since the first iPhone

It’s time we stopped comparing new Apple products to their predecessors and started thinking about how innovative this new technology actually is. Being able to take phone calls from your watch was something only seen in the likes of spy movies but now it’s been made possible. Sure the first iPhone is miles away from the current one but if you think about it, this watch has been made with the same already existing technology. It was teased back in September 2014 and could have been released alongside the iPhone 6 and 6 plus but was delayed until the March Apple event which could mean they’ve spent more time perfecting it and improving it.

3. Charging something else isn’t that big of a deal

Moaning about the battery life isn’t a good reason not to buy it otherwise, why did you buy a smartphone? Any mobile accessory which uses electricity is going to need to be charged. I imagine with the Apple Watch being this small it can reach a full charge just as easily as the latest iPhone when it comes to using portable charging blocks. There’s always a way around battery life and making it last a whole day (however long your day may be).

4. Jealousy factor

In all honesty, you’ll probably want one when you see your friend has one. Admit it. We’ve all been there. You see how it looks and how it works. You find yourself thinking about what it’d be like if you had one then BAM! Before you know it you’ve bought one because you want to know what it’s really like to own one.

5. It tells the time… Like a watch is supposed to

Unlike the watches in Spy Kids 2, the Apple Watch does tell you what time it is. If you think about it everything else it does is a bonus in comparison to other designer watches and sets it apart from the rest. Even though it costs a minimum of £299 ($349) it’t no different from buying a flashy designer watch except from the fact this does more than tell the time and look good.
